211 Maryland
Individuals can contact 211 to receive a wide range of services including those related to:

Call 211 or visit 211md.org to find information and get referrals for thousands of programs and services across Maryland. 211 Maryland is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in over 180 languages. Accessible for the deaf and hard of hearing through Maryland Relay (dial 711).
Maryland Insurance Administration
The Maryland Insurance Administration (MIA) is an independent state agency that regulates the insurance industry and ensures that insurance companies and health plans act in accordance with laws.
After an emergency, MIA can provide support to insurance policyholders as they work with their insurance agency to repair damages/obtain compensation.

Mental Health
The Baltimore City Health Department (BCHD) ensures 24/7 availability of mental health crisis services.

- Individuals and families who need assistance scheduling an appointment for mental health services should call Behavioral Health System Baltimore at (410) 637-1900, option 1
- Services for groups can be accessed by calling 311 and asking to be referred to BCHD-approved mental health providers or Email US

Maryland Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD)
VOAD is an umbrella organization made up of diverse disaster response volunteer agencies including faith-based organizations, local community organizations, and national level nongovernmental organizations.
Residents should contact VOAD to request assistance with debris removal, mold remediation, and other disaster recovery assistance.

Food Resources
Grocery boxes containing 1-2 weeks’ worth of nonperishable food goods may be available to residents who meet the following criteria:
- Can’t afford to pay for meals or groceries
- Currently have no food at home or will run out before they can buy more
- Are experiencing financial, social, or medical hardships due to Covid-19
- Have someone at home who is able to prepare food
